merry christmas...

the polar express...

we went on the polar express train ride a couple of weekends ago and we had a blast- it really was a magical experience and i think everyone should take the time to do it. we boarded the train with our golden tickets and the conductor- who looked just like and sounded just like the one from the movie- came by and punched a b in the children's tickets. they played music from the movie and dancing chefs served us hot chocolate & cookies. we went to the north pole -about 30 minutes down the track. there were tons of christmas lights and you could see santa waving from the porch of his house- there were elves doing flips and cartwheels- it was really neat. we were sitting in the car behind the engine so santa and his elves boarded our car first. he announced that the bells were the first gifts of christmas and knelt beside every child and gave them a bell and posed for a picture...he told them to always believe! it was awesome!!!

christmas cookies...

these are a few pictures of jake's christmas cookie experiences this year- they were a sight to see for sure!!! he and mimi made sugar cookies at our house- he cut the cookies out with the cookie cutters and sprinkled (poured) sugar all over them. afterwards- we went to nana's and he and brooke lynn decorated gingerbread cookies. i guess we had gotten all the work we could get out of him by that time- he was not into the whole decorating the cookies- but more into eating all the candies!!!

fall pics...

i've been crazy busy these last couple of months- which explains why i haven't posted much. these are a couple of pics from thanksgiving at my mom's & our fall hayride at church. my little man has decided that he likes to climb trees & this one at my mom's is one of his favorite.

og fair...

these are a few pics jason took at the og fair- brandi and candice brought the kids over and they had a good, muddy time! we took jake to the state fair the next week...so i think his fair expectations will be high for the og fair next year...lol! those pics are below on next post.



this is one that another teacher took of me and mer on halloween- i think it's hard to believe we're sisters- not much resemblance...lol!

state fair...

we took jake to the state fair a couple of weeks ago and had the best time. we did the whole sha-bang...ag shows, petting zoo, rides, games, helicopter ride, tractor pull, circus, and rodeo. we were there for over 10 hours and jake held up- he didn't even get cranky! we will definitely be going every year from now on!

pinocchio...

these are a little late and aren't the greatest pictures...i was using my little camera i keep in my purse. pinocchio came on tv one night about two months ago and i recorded it for jake. he watched it several times and when i started asking him what he wanted to be for halloween- he kept saying pinocchio...i tried to find a costume online but the ones i found were ridiculous...so i kept bringing up other options and he still was set on pinocchio. i knew that my family would think it was "sissy"- like ty ;)!!! but i told myself that he is 3 years old and if he wants to be pinocchio then i shouldn't care- and i didn't. i thought he was the cutest pinocchio ever...and besides- we have many years to be batman, spiderman, and football players! my mom made the costume...sure glad she was home! hey lacey...you think jake looks like breanna in the first one?

best friend...

-if you ever ask jake who his best friend is- you better be ready to hear all about bob. he'll go on and on and on about "bob is a good guy" and "bob is my best friend" and "bob needs me to help him work today, momma" and "i need to go to work with bob today, daddy"...i really don't think that it gets much sweeter than this.

it is hard as heck to get a picture of all these kids- but with 4 or 5 cameras flashing- i think we got a decent picture!

weekend in dallas...

jason, myself, meridith, brooke lynn, and jake left for dallas on wednesday. we spent the day at six flags thursday. jake did really well- he was a big boy. he road several rides and then he and his daddy went back to the room for a nap. us girls spent the rest of the day riding big kid stuff. we intended on riding the trolly back to the room, but we forgot to get our trolly passes before we left the room that morning. we went back to the room for a swam and then out to eat. we woke up friday and spent the day at hurricane harbor- which was great. jake had a blast. again- he and jason headed back early for a nap- we stayed the rest of the day...we did remember to get the trolly passes this time, but we forgot them in the truck...lol! so jason came to get us late that afternoon. we came home on saturday. it was a fun trip!
