yes-i'm a horrible mother. jake had his end of the year program at weecare the last week of school. as i was trying to wrap things up in my classroom and plan our field trip- i completely forgot about jake's program. however- i do blame part of this on some of the people (bob and mer) who tend to pick jake up if i'm in a bind and forget to give me his paper work and important notes like end of the year programs! i ended up hearing about the program the day before from another teacher at school- i knew weecare would have one, but i thought it would've been for graduates only. jake doesn't graduate until next year. - so of course ALL of our family had plans and couldn't make it. jacques graduated kindergarten the night before in shreveport so nana had spent the night over there. we called her about 3:30 on the day of the program and she rushed home to see jake. my grandma WAS NOT happy with the fact that i hadn't told her about it. i couldn't get in touch with her on the day of- so she missed it as well. anyway- he did a great job- knew a lot of his nursery rhymes and went up to the microphone first and said his name so clearly!!! bob couldn't make it- he was in the field cutting hay...jake heard us talking about it before we headed up to weecare- he didn't care a thing about his program- he just wanted to go ride the tractors!
- i thought the second picture was too funny- he was hanging his head out of the window on the way to the field (it reminded me of a dog)- don't worry, jason held the wheel while i took the picture!
